Juice Labels
Juice is a hard label job dressed up as an easy one. The bottle spends its life wet — chilled, sweating, sitting in ice, wiped down — and most juice brands run half a dozen flavours at once, which means half a dozen short runs rather than one long one. Get either part wrong and you end up with curling labels, or with a garage full of stock for a flavour that didn't sell.
Cold, wet and handled
A refrigerated bottle pulls condensation out of the air the moment it leaves the cooler. Paper facestock wicks that water, swells and cockles, and the print goes soft with it. We build juice labels on synthetic stock — BOPP, polyester, vinyl — which takes on no moisture at all, and pair it with an adhesive that keys to cold, damp glass or PET instead of letting go at the corner.
- Cold-fill, HPP and cold-pressed — labels applied before or after high-pressure processing, on stock that survives the pressure vessel and the water.
- Ice baths and coolers — a high-tack adhesive that holds through standing water, not just humidity.
- Frozen and concentrate — if the product goes below freezing, we move you onto our freezer stock, which applies down to −20 °F.
- Laminate or varnish over the print so barcodes stay scannable and the ink does not scuff on the way through distribution.
Materials that suit juice
The facestock decides how the product reads on a shelf, so it is worth a minute:
- Clear BOPP — the “no-label look”. The juice is the packaging. Best on cold-pressed and single-ingredient product where the colour sells it.
- Matte white. Clean, modern, easy to read; the safe choice when your ingredient list is long.
- Metallic and foil. A premium finish for a limited release or a gifting line.
- Transparent and conformable stock for squeeze bottles and tapered containers that a rigid label would flag on.
- Waterproof and polyester where the bottle gets a serious soaking.
Six flavours, six short runs
This is where most juice brands get squeezed. A printer with a minimum order pushes you into ordering thousands of each flavour, and you carry the ones that don't move. We have no minimums — print 50 or 50,000 — so you can run each SKU to the quantity it actually sells, keep one base artwork and change only the flavour panel, and add a new flavour without committing to a full run. Variable data on the same pass covers batch codes, best-before dates and lot numbers.
Getting the label legal
Juice sold in the US carries real labelling obligations — the nutrition panel, ingredients in descending order, allergen statement, net contents, the name and address of the responsible firm, and the percent-juice declaration. Unpasteurised product generally needs the FDA warning statement, and chilled product needs its “keep refrigerated” line. Send us your copy and we will lay it out legibly at the size your bottle allows; confirming what your product is required to carry is between you and your regulatory adviser.
